Senior within our Business Services team

Preparation of Limited company, partnership and sole trader accounts and reporting to Business Services line manager across a wide portfolio of clients.


In addition, the candidate should be able to prepare management accounts from processed data and critically review for completeness and accuracy.


We see the provision of management accounts and analysed data as a key aspect of this role, a proven history of providing such reports would be preferable.


The candidate will also be required to assist in managing in the delivery of bookkeeping services accurately and efficiently to ensure all deadlines and client expectations are met.


We offer a full bookkeeping service on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis including:


  • Taking client source documents and posting to an accounting package
  • Posting and balancing banks
  • Posting payroll journals
  • Posting depreciation journals
  • Preparing and filing of VAT returns
  • Preparing management accounts

Certain clients do core bookkeeping themselves and we review postings and prepare and file VAT returns and prepare management accounts as required.


We actively encourage the development of professional relationships with our client base in order to add value. The candidate should therefore be confident when dealing with clients over the phone or in face to face contact, and should also be able to work within a team environment.

Knowledge of Receipt Bank or similar software preferable

Good communication skills as there will be ongoing client contact


As a training office we have a number of trainees who are available as a resource to assist the bookkeeping team so the candidate will need to be able to assist manage workflow and liaise with clients and team members to meet deadlines and expectations.
