Overview
I started my career by qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, which gave me an excellent and thorough grounding to build on my mathematics degree.
After qualifying, I convinced my then employers to let me move into the area which I had most enjoyed: helping individuals, families, trusts and estates with tax matters. It was an unusual move at the time, but I have never been swayed and have continued to work in this constantly changing environment ever since.
As a result, over many years, I have gained substantial and varied experience in tax planning and compliance, with a natural focus on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, trust work and, more recently, probate.
